J’ai bien aimé monter et descendre ses rues, découvrir ses différents marchés et redescendre de la mine - J’avais besoin d’air frais! – jusqu’au centre ville, en traversant les quartiers populaires.
Une des principales attractions est de visiter la mine de Cerro Rico, une expérience inoubliable et assez traumatisante… Je ne comprends toujours pas très bien comment ces personnes peuvent continuer à se tuer à la tache - l’espérance de vie est de 45 ans ici! – en allant travailler dans des conditions aussi dures et pour, au final, un travail qui leur permet à peine de survivre… La visite est très “vivante” – je vous recommande de ne pas y mettre un pied si vous êtes claustrophobe!!! J’ai dû me concentrer vraiment très fort pour ne pas rebrousser chemin, en marchant complètement recroquevillée dans un tunnel minuscule dès le début de la visite ! Ensuite j’ai senti des especes de courbatures dans mes jambes en montant et descendant les échelles ou simplement en marchant a 4 100 mètres de haut mais sous terre ! Quel défi- encore une fois! - ça vous donne une bonne idée de la vie des mineurs car vous êtes littéralement avec eux au coeur de la mine! On se rend vraiment compte du danger qui les menace en permanence - On ne ferait jamais ça en Europe! C’est tellement glissant… Extrêment dangereux! – et j’étais tellement peinée de voir un enfant de 12 ans déjà au travail dans cette mine! Je suis vraiment heureuse et reconnaissante de ne pas avoir une vie aussi difficile!
Après cette sacrée expérience, je suis retournée en ville, en m’arrêtant en route pour boire un jus de banane et goûter la nourriture locale sur le marché : Pastela, une sorte de crêpe, garnie ou non de fromage – Bon ben j’ai goûté les deux hein 
– et une boisson qu’on appelle Api, je ne sais toujours pas ce que c’est mais c’était bien bon
